Glad to see you back, on current reborn this time, KB723. I can appreciate the
FUCK CURRENT message you posted. I feel the same way. Some of the staff
were decent people, I felt. SG Whites, Jo Pietra, et al behaved as they wanted
to be community members. But I sincerely believe the management there saw
us in the same way FaceBook sees it's members. Remanns made a very apt
observation about ( FaceBook ) in an article posted about a protest of their
tactics once. He said something very telling about how its clients were not
users but the used. When Current.com's Ruiz gave such short notice about
them pulling the plug in May, she never mentioned the exact date. I'd just
come off of 13 solid months of working nights, never getting any Sun on my
skin, having no energy, no life, and being half asleep all the time. That was
pretty much my schedule for the past 5 years I was a Current.com member.
I rarely had the time or energy to read the original articles at the links, so
I Email blogged whatever interested me as being of value, only to see the
past 2 years of it go down the drain when they disconnected their server.

It was a miracle I was able to use the 2 weeks while on vacation to down
load the original Current.com webpages, and their sources so that all my
many thousands of valuable collected articles wouldn't fall into oblivion. As
I still have my Email blog I can always Google up the titles and blog the list
of original sources that published those news stories to read & save them
someday. The last downloads I made before they pulled the plug were of
my Current.com Email pages, the 3954 members of our former community.
But all the minds writing the comments on the last 2 years of Current.com
webpages are lost forever. They were also very, very valuable to me as
their original, unique viewpoints enabled me to see, understand things
from a perspective expressable only through other souls' life experiences.
I'me lucky in that I was able to save a priceless number of extremely
invaluable discoveries enabling me to live longer, healthier than I ever
could have dreamed possible., That I'll be able to replace all my original
teeth severely damaged thru dental malpractice, and Mercury amalgams
since childhood. But I wanted to post on my Blogspot.com blog all the
insightful comments of our former community to share that knowledge
with others. I often blog valuable Emails on my Blogspot.com blog which
total strangers praise me for adding to their knowledge base.

They all
say the same thing, KB723: I maintain the most knowledgeable blog
covering a universe of topics of interest. It's not monentized, and I've
no registered followers, so anyone happening upon it can be enriched
like Alaskan Gold prospectors finding a " Gloryhole " But with the Global
Village, and the Information Superhighway they were touting in 1993,
I could have made my blog a superblog. Superman is one of my comic
heros. Believe it or not, some have even taken to nicknaming me: " The
Batman " Lol. So I agree with you, hermano. FUCK CURRENT.COM. They
blew almost 4,000 of our Global Village off like a pile of dried out Autumn
leaves. And they didn't merely deprive me of being finaly able to read
all those wonderful minds; they deprived the world of reading them too.
like something out of the classic Star Trek episode: The Lights of Zetar.
I promised myself I wouldn't make a rant, or be a negative turnoff here.
But I'm soooooo glad you're back, KB723. Even more glad they're gone.
