Storms Inundate Mexico from Coast to CoastBy coolplanet | September 16, 2013 As Tropical Storm Manuel continues to wallop Mexico's Pacific coast, Hurricane Ingrid made landfall today on the country's Atlantic coast in an unusual double whammy, causing at least 21 deaths so far. Getting slammed by a tropical storm and a hurricane at the same time "is completely atypical" according to Mexico’s National Weather Service. Ingrid, the second hurricane of the Atlantic storm season, struck near La Pesca this morning with 65mph winds and is expected to bring very heavy rains. More than 7,000 people were evacuated as Manuel dumped 10 to 15 inches of rain, with 25 inches predicted in some areas.
