Hello, I am Vierotchka and I created this board to provide a place for Current members to go to once Current is decommissioned so that we can keep up having discussions and debates on a great variety of subjects, share our likes and dislikes, the music we love, and maintain the friendships and relationships we forged over the years on Current. Most of you from Current know me well already, so I don't need to say much except that I am one of the oldest members there. I first joined Current when it was a kind of experimental website for people to upload their own videos, and I was looking for such a place. There was not all that much activity there so I didn't do much at all in the first couple of years. For those who don't know me yet, I am basically a digital artist, retired musician, with a great many different interests. I am also very much concerned about the environment and how we humans have been abusing and destroying it for a very long time, with a thought for my children and grandchildren and all the world's children - what kind of disaster are we leaving for them, and what can and must we do to change that and give them a fighting chance at life.

Hello V. I didn't know all that about you. Do you still play music in your own time? What instrument do you play? Nice picture. You might need to know that sometimes I invite my own friends, and sometimes they might speak languages that differ, or wear clothes that differ. They are usually kind. I think you might like them, actually.

I never knew you're a retired musician, V. I sensed you possess a higher mind. So knowing you now to be a musician makes a lot of sense. Ancient Greeks held the Muse in high esteem. I believe they sensed music is a gift from the Gods themselves to humanity, all species of animals and plants alike.
( Artemis 6 once told me music sums up her entire life. I Emailed her directly yesterday once the old online team pulled the plug powering their server. I again told her I hoped she would join us here. She too told me she had been Stalked. I blogged a Current.com story which explained the American military hired people to infiltrate specific web sites, which Current.com was likely one, to read posts, stir up trouble amongst members. They were trespassers there for a purpose-to Stalk members so as to be spoilers, make their experience miserable for them. But in time, I hope she'll come around, as Jan, and Molly too. )
Music has a language all it's own, makes people much more intelligent. My major was language in high school; being an instrumental music audiophile throughout high school, college, all my life sincehas helped me express myself. I took Logic & Sylogisms as a math substitute in college to learn how to order my thoughts to proceed rationaly. And that study had to be the most fulfilling too. The only study I could ever conceive to be better than the language of words, or math, is the language of music. If you get the chance, V, check out Bill Douglas' album: Circle of Moons. It features the English horn several other instruments prominent in Celtic music. In fact there's at least one lively Celtic tune on it. It also features the poetry of William Blake. You might enjoy his style of music.
