Daniel Suarez: The kill decision shouldn't belong to a robot
Published on 13 Jun 2013
As a novelist, Daniel Suarez spins dystopian tales of the future. But on the TEDGlobal stage, he talks us through a real-life scenario we all need to know more about: the rise of autonomous robotic weapons of war. Advanced drones, automated weapons and AI-powered intelligence-gathering tools, he suggests, could take the decision to make war out of the hands of humans.

I reiterate what a Marine Lt Col told me about "the Reagan Doctrine" Any President has the power to pardon any crime, whatsoever; therefore the President has the power to order the commission of any crime.
The Reagan Doctrine was only refuted by Bill Clinton when he ordered the US intel services NOT kill Bin Laden, and that instead the FBI build a case for arrest and prosecution.
Anyone else remember Mr Bill ordering the US Government obey the USConstitution and getting flayed for it by every news source and commentator. Back in the 1990's
