Getting people to understand the difference between natural climate shift and artificial climate destabilization is going to be difficult. One could say that if a climate shift causes one to look for a new fishing hole then climate destabilization might cause one to pickle tumbleweeds one year and sun-dry seaweed the next.

Methinks the most important point to slam home is that this is happening NOW far faster than all the experts and models expected. It is no longer a future problem we can leave to our kids to fix. We are looking at major famines THIS YEAR - in the United States! Perhaps that will finally wake us up.

Getting people to understand the difference between natural climate shift and artificial climate destabilization is going to be difficult. One could say that if a climate shift causes one to look for a new fishing hole then climate destabilization might cause one to pickle tumbleweeds one year and sun-dry seaweed the next. Good point. Methinks the most important point to slam home is that this is happening NOW far faster than all the experts and models expected. It is no longer a future problem we can leave to our kids to fix. We are looking at major famines THIS YEAR - in the United States! Perhaps that will finally wake us up. Yes, the time is already late because much permanent damage has been done, and this coming year's damage will only be worse. I was checking on hurricane damages recently. If my calculations (and memory) serve me correctly the 25 most damaging hurricanes in history in terms of cost have all come since Hurricane Andrew about 25 years ago. This is something we are leaving to our children. Yet, hurricanes are only a small portion of the damage being caused. Famines become the larger problem when farmland is lost. We seem to have learned what climate change is. As a concept, and a term, climate change can be natural, just as skeptics point out. Climate change was applied by climatologist to describe how global warming might appear. The next step beyond this should be the concept of artificial climate destabilization. As good investigators, we can point out that the climate change has been predicted by scientist with perfect timing. All of the questions one would ask: who, what, where, when, and why have been spelled out with strong accuracy. Finally, with all these concepts we've had to construct we have lost sight of the original concept that has provided a foundation for the other concepts that followed. That is, the Greenhouse Effect. I point out that the Greenhouse Effect, as a concept, has been known for over one-hundred years. The Greenhouse Effect is fundamental law. Just like gravity, it is a result of intermolecular forces. The damages are being caused are rooted in Physics. No amount of Economic justification could ever overcome Physics.
