Greenland was not named Greenland because the Nordic explorer/settlers found it covered with ice.
It sustained farming and cattle/sheep herds for centuries before going back into that mini ice age our planet had a few centuries ago.
I read private correspondence between George Washington and a former Colonel in the Continental Army,
in which George mentioned how lucky they were that at Valley Forge they had not to deal with the much colder winters of decades past.
I personally believe humans 'industry have contributed significantly to current climate change.
That it is cyclic gives the only credence to deniers' claims that industry should be allowed to continue polluting unchecked.
We IMHO, need a middle ground,
accepting the cycles and acknowledging that humans contribute to an acceleration of the cycle of global warming that precedes every ice age.
I recommend "The Cooling" by Lowell Ponte
He saw it coming and warned we are contributing to a disaster for our civilization.
