A few years ago I purchased a chocolate mint plant from our local farm market and the woman who sold it to me gave me this recipe (which I’ve tweaked slightly).
For those who haven’t experienced chocolate mint before, it smells and tastes like a peppermint patty.
Ingredients: 2 cups packed fresh chocolate mint leaves 1/4 cup toasted hazelnuts 3+ tablespoons hazelnut oil (or sesame oil) 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice 1 clove elephant garlic (optional) 1+ tablespoon Belgian dark chocolate (optional)
Directions:
Place chocolate mint, hazelnuts, oil, lime juice, elephant garlic and dark chocolate in a food processor; pulse a few times, then process until fairly smooth.
Serve on coconut ice cream.

I love chocolate mint. One of my favorite teas is chocolate mint tea. It is so soothing and I really enjoy to relax with a mug of the tea after a stressful day. I must say though that I did not know that there was a such a thing as a chocolate mint plant. I will have to do some research to see if I can get one here. In the meantime, I've printed off the recipe as it sound delicious. Thanks for posting. Attachments:
