Giant, fluorescent pink slugs found living atop a mountain in AustraliaHigh on the dew-dampened peak of Mount Kaputar, in New South Wales, Australia, there exists a world distinct unto itself, an alpine forest populated by organisms found nowhere else on the planet. There, in that isolated mountaintop ecosystem, only a lucky few have chanced upon its most colorful inhabitant -- this giant, fluorescent pink slug. Michael Murphy, a ranger with the National Parks and Wildlife Service, was one of the first to get an up close look at this remarkable creature, which was only identified just recently. www.treehugger.com/natural-sciences/giant-pink-cannibal-slug-discovered-australia.html

Wondering what they taste like. eg: Living near Philly, I took PA dutch girls to restaurants that had alligator tail on the menu. addendum: Most French food needs ketchup to cover the unpleasant taste.

All I can say is it's intriguing and ugly at the same time.

All I can say is it's intriguing and ugly at the same time. Nicely put! I'm curious, yet repulsed. There's probably more strange creatures to be discovered, but this one truly is strange.

Hhhmmm....I wonder why they're fluorescent. I've been to PA Dutch country, it was a nice visit years ago. Excellent noodles

Most French food needs ketchup to cover the unpleasant taste. It seems you've never been to France - French food is delicious and among the best in the world!

Most French food needs ketchup to cover the unpleasant taste. It seems you've never been to France - French food is delicious and among the best in the world! Only had the French food from one of their colonies. And restaurants that disappointed me. They do have the best wine in our world though. IMHO the worst French wine is better than that from anywhere else. Just my opinion. Would those florescent slugs need onions or sweet potatoes as a side dish? I use both sweet potatoes and onions in possum pie. With a strong touch of garlic and red pepper.

.... I've been to PA Dutch country, it was a nice visit years ago. Excellent noodles Great Halupkies, and the Sound of jolly Joe Timmer and his bunch in Bethlehem PA during their festival. I lived two blocks away. I sometimes miss being there.
