Pat Robertson responds to Kerry with usual conservative paranoia and ignorance.

Pat Robertson could not be convinced that America is only 4% of the world. To Pat if it is cold in America it is cold everywhere. People are like that. 2012 was the hottest year in America, and suddenly America became the leader in sustainable clean energy products. But 2012 was cold in Europe so Europe fell off the pace. Now 2014 is cold in America so there will be a big political movement against sustainable energy products here, but since it was hot in Europe they will be pushing them harder. It's the idea that 'if I'm hot then everyone's hot,' which will never quite be true.
Pat is pushing new traditions. The old traditions were that one wakes to the morning sun and goes outside to chop wood for the burner. In the afternoon one tends the crops, and if one finished early one could walk to town. The new traditions are that all the wood is taken, all the crops have been taken, and one can walk to town and find all the jobs are taken. But, if one is in God's grace one will somehow live to survive another day. He 'knows' this because life is easy for him.
In both cases Pat is just projecting his perspective on to everyone.

But look at the rest of the Northern Hemisphere and it's been an unusually warm winter. Newt is an idiot too.....

Sometimes I think of the idiots as prisoners. They have been a bit manipulated as to what to think. It's not that nationalism is a bad thing, but nationalism is a solitary level of thought. We can think other orders. We can break out of the box, or out of the well if you prefer.
That was the principle idea behind the SingingSingingSinging site - to encourage the youth of the world to think outside their nationalistic boxes from time to time.

Surprise! January 2014 was Earth’s 4th warmest on record, even while U.S. shiveredAll Americans heard about in January was the extreme cold and the repeated intrusion of the polar vortex. But the weather in the eastern U.S. deviated from much of the rest of the planet. Overall, NOAA reports, the global temperature in January was the warmest since 2007 and the 4th warmest on record, dating back to 1880. January’s global temperature was 1.17 degrees above the long-term average, marking the 347th straight month of above normal warmth. You have to go all the way back to February, 1985 – almost 29 years - to find a cooler than normal month on Earth. NOAA’s National Climatic Data Center (NCDC) said the warmth was most notable in Alaska, western Canada, Greenland, Mongolia, southern Russia, and northern China. The average temperature in these areas was more than 5 degrees F. above normal. In addition, southern Hemisphere land areas – on average – had their warmest January on record. www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/capital-weather-gang/wp/2014/02/24/surprise-january-2014-was-earths-4th-warmest-on-record-even-while-u-s-shivered/
