The Jet Stream is slowing down and meandering due to loss of ice volume in the Arctic.

We've been getting these floods in Arizona for a two months and a half. On the Colorado Plateau the soil is too sandy to hold back water. When it floods roads get buried with sand. Flooding has also been a major problem wherever there has been a wildfire.
This was sent to me last month via facebook from a friend.

This was sent to me last month via facebook from a friend. www.youtube.com/watch?v=_VD5GxluHN8These massive floods have been happening all over the planet this year and for the past two years. This video below is the best explanation I've heard.

We've been getting these floods in Arizona Am older and lived there for a few years. Flooding on this scale is normal. Desert dries out and rainwater cannot soak in, so it runs downhill. Flooding is normal. The Salt River Project dams that were supposed to stop the floods made it worse. They release water from the dams when rain is heavy and add to the flooding. " to save the dam" It is to save the dams that prevent farmers from getting river water free in dry season , so they have to buy their water from the government instead of getting it free from the river. I lived in a 40 mile wide flood plain that my neighbors ridiculed me for my house being on a 5 foot high mound of dirt. During a flood they lost everything and I sat on my porch and watched, high and dry. Same here in the deep south, my two story sits beside a 200 foot wide river. During a hurricane it is in the middle of a mile wide river. I sit on my porch and watch my neighbors houses flooded to tyhe rooftops as they lose everything. Ain't it about time to start listening to the old folks who have been there and done that a few times? ....flooding is normal.... goes in cycles

....flooding is normal.... goes in cycles What is not normal is the severity and extent of flooding worldwide over the past several years. Meteorologists are scratching their heads at the record breaking floods just this year all over America, Canada, Russia, China, Europe, Australia and elsewhere. It is not normal to have once-in-a-century floods every month now it seems. The extra heat from CO2 is evaporating the land and thawing the ice and that water is going into the atmosphere, producing a year's worth of rain in just a few days all over Earth. Yes it is a cycle that has happened before when vast amounts of carbon dioxide and methane were released into the atmosphere. Scientists tell us that our climate has entered "a new normal' thanks to all the greenhouse gasses we recklessly spew. This is not normal.

If a record breaking number of record breaking floods is normal then what could be not normal? The records only go back a little. Earth has had extinctions in the past. To me the hype about flooding evokes memories of the yearly winter home heating oil shortage that "forces" oil companies to raise their prices. "Oh no! It got cold again this winter! Who could have imagined?"Many regions have several foot thick layers of silt from epic floods before recorded history.

Who could have imagined?"Many regions have several foot thick layers of silt from epic floods before recorded history. Every morning when I wake up I am reminded that gravity has not changed. As long as the mass of the planet Earth remains the same gravity will not change significantly. The mass of the planet may have changed slightly when spacecraft are sent beyond orbit, but for the most part that hasn't been significant. When I walk outside in the morning I see that the planet is not a frozen mass. Sometimes in winter it becomes harder to say. Each morning that the seas are not frozen over I know it is because the planet has a greenhouse effect. The greenhouse gases are causing a bit of extra atmospheric heat retention that allows water to exist in liquid form. Unlike the mass of the Earth mankind has changed the concentrations of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. There is more carbon dioxide, more methane, and because warming has already started there is more water vapor - all greenhouse gases. The fact that Earth has normal cycles has no bearing on the effects of increasing concentrations of greenhouse gases by the part of man. Because there are more greenhouse gases we should expect change.I see it like handing a child a flame thrower to play with and expecting them not to burn the house down.
