Here's the idea: If you're are/were on Current and you want the rest of us to be able to find you elsewhere on the Web, post the pertinent info in this thread, like this: Places you can find me: Reddit.com as DarthGandhi Main Street Journal (http://nonlinearresonance.com/currents/) as ThirdSection Torrent-Invites.com as Beeblebrox Disqus.com as ThirdSection My Gravitar looks like this: If any of your info changes, you can, of course, edit it.

Great idea, ThirdSection!
attilatheblond on: Main Street Journal Twitter Huff post Crooks&Liars Disqus comments (usually on TPM and Raw Story) and word press blog, where you can post a reply if you want me to get in touch or comment on my strange ramblings.
attila the blond on snopes.com (and if you have never checked out the snopes message boards, you are missing some fun.)
If you see an attilatheblond somewhere that doesn't quite sound like the real attila, let me know as someone else has registered the name at a couple sites. Sadly it could happen to any of us. Be aware.

Lizard Island here. I post on Puffington Host as Orcas Island. I live on an island half of the year and in San Francisco area the other half. I'm really not a Lizard. Just one of the Mud People. Or, should have been one of the Mud People but I was too little to go to Woodstock.
Urban Dictionary - Mud People Persons at events of all kind most notably Woodstock, other folk or Pagan events who find mud, no matter how dry the area is to cover themselves with.
These people, first noted in the literature after suddenly appearing at the original Woodstock music festival 25 years ago in 1969, are unique in all the world’s societies in that there appears to be absolutely no racial or ethnic basis for the origin of their society. The individual Mud People from many different ethnic backgrounds share a culture based solely on an affinity for mud. They are immediately visually recognizable by their unusual practice of covering themselves in mud literally from head to toe, their eyes generally being the only area of their body not coated with mud. they are often skyclad

Hey Wolfess ! Glad to see you made it to the other side ( without passing on ) Lol. That's a little subtle gallows humor for someone fond of sharp objects. Double Lol. I'll miss the old Current.com format because it was perfect, and the essence of simplicity. But I'll never miss Current.com. Only the former community members whom the self styled Corporate overlords turned off with their obsession with political correctness & purging. I still get Current TV Emails I routinely disregard and never read. I never watched Current TV, and don't plan to. There isn't even one smidgeon of their TV shows left that isn't about politricks, ventilating, their obsession with politricks. Imo, they neglected our community, jettisoning all the uniquely wonderful features former management originaly invented to serve us. Good online shows like Infomania, Erin Gibson's Modern Lady, Vanguard were all cast adrift long ago in favor of building up their political TV station. Imo, bad call.
They never had a clue that We the Community were the only thing that made them great. Their voting up or down comments vs articles was ridiculous, but telling. One of their tyranical moderaters, Jessica Roy aka JessMag got down voted 297 times in the red by former community members P.O.ed with her Harassment of us. You know, I Emailed many of former community members whom I had pleasant very sociable conversations with over the 5 years I was a Current.com community member. I invited them here. Not one of them ever responded. And I realy think it was the buzz word " current " that left a bad taste in their mouths. Jan for Gore, Molly Blum, Artemis 6 all told me they'd been Stalked on Current.com. So, I gave them all my Google Email address told them they were welcome to directly Email me anytime to say hello chat, share experiences, ventilate, whatever. I'm glad our former, now newly regrouped community members care enough to formulate ideas to make contact with our former community members. I downloaded onto my hard drive over 3954 souls, their names, avatars, and as many of their avatar pages as I could before they pulled the plug on their server. I miss them all dearly in a way many might not understand. Do you recall how 20 years ago, in 1993, they used kids to explain to people watching TV that the concepts of the Information Superhighway ( Internet ), and Global Village ( social interactive online communities ) would be the previews of things to come ?
Our old online community was a global cybervillage. Though I never got a chance to converse with those of them who'd read our thoughts, and never commented, I did get a chance to meet hundreds of people. Circa 120 of them acknowledged openly they liked my viewpoints, style of expression enough to follow me. PJacobs51 , Delia the Artist, Figg Dimension all had that same effect on me. It was reciprocal & mutual. I dearly miss them especialy Love Is My Religion I'm old enough to be her grandfather, Wolfess. But that didn't stop me from Emailing her an invitation to V's website here. I down loaded everything she posted because she reminded me so much of myself and the positive idealism of my youth swtill buried in me like the core layer of an onion, it was uncany. I blogged the Blog addresses of Jan for Gore, Figg Dimension, and some others including Delia the Artist. But I still have not seen Radical Centrist, wbradleyjr 1, or Phailblog whose avatar was that of Bradley Manning arrive here yet. All these good souls I've felt were such kindred spirits that although I've never met them in person, shaken their hands, they are still my family. I'll never forgive Current.com for making me an orphan.

OlBlue can be found diving in virtual dumpsters across the country. Look for an angry mob and you're likely to find him somewhere on the periphery, taking notes and trying in vain to make sense of it all.
