Thanks for the video. Fair Deal was the accurate term for FDR and his fellow Democrats ending child labor, sweatshops, and starvation in this country. Republicans, then as now, want to be the ruling class, with the working class, mere peasants, they have absolute control over.
Class warfare has gone on for over a century. The wealthy buy corrupt politicians, and structure our government to take from the working poor and give to the rich. Every tax break for the rich is a tax increase on everyone else. Why do people not understand this simple concept? Congress decides how much to spend and that must be taken from someone. Only matter is who it gets taken from and who gets a tax break. Give the rich a tax break and the working poor then have to pay the taxes the rich avoid paying.
They (R) call all opponents socialists and commies. Yet when Russia got Freedom of Speech after the fall of the Soviet Union... They immediately told western journalists: "The communists are Russia's right wing."
Those who support the rule of an elite minority over all others are always the rightwing.
IMWIO America's communists are the Republican Party.

We are in definite and desperate need of major change. The absolute corruption of our current election-finance system and gerrymandering plus the recent and ongoing attacks on voting make our "Democracy" more and more of a farce. corporate-fascism continues to grow and the real people suffer as the corporates and 1%ers wealth becomes more and more outrageously obscene.

The Man Who Crossed Hitler) and a parallel program about the historical events depicted in that mini series with interviews of the descendants of the main characters (except Hitler's) and people who lived through those events. I used to mow the lawn for a man who had been Gauliter of East Prussia. He had changed sides, during the war and gotten American citizenship.
He and his wife told me that the Nazis felt no police state or oppression. They felt the government was only taking care of the good people and those sent to the camps belonged there. When I spoke to other Germans and Austrians they said much the same. Just like our Republicans approved of Bush using drones to kill, and imprisoning people without trial nor due process. When I spoke of the death camps to them, they almost all said the same thing: "If Hitler only knew" believing that good man would have stopped the camps.
No amount of proof would convince them that Hitler approved of the death camps before they were even built. Just like our Republicans. That magic (R) next to the name, insures Republicans believe: that is a good person incapable of any criminal nor evil act. They also, like Nazis believe Liberals are incapable of speaking truth nor of doing any good.

Walmart workers are going on strike more than they have in a long time. It's not going away with them! There is change going on. Walmart workers know if they complain like to OSHA about something. Walmart will be all nice & stuff then down the road, back to their old ways! The workers I think picked up on that and are doing the same back to striking for better pay, from a $419 billion sales corp and a $6.88 after taxes workers pay in small towns! It's all getting better, the ball is rolling! Published on 6 Jun 2013 With the passing of Frank Lautenberg - America has lost more than a man - it's lost a worldview.
